Siphosethu & Amahla
LWYW are sponsoring two talented young ladies from Mswati Primary School, located in a small rural village in the Tongaat area of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
Siphosethu Gcaba
Amahle Mngadi
Mswati Primary School receives only R90,000 of government funding per annum to cover all running costs of this school of 280 learners. Despite the obvious financial challenges, the school staff are dedicated, diligent and have produced 2 exceptionally talented scholars, Amahle Mngadi and Siphosetu Gcaba, in recent years.

The village is located 26km from the nearest high school and there are no boarding facilities at the school. The cost of scholar transport is a major obstacle due to the level of income of the families of these talented young ladies families, and their schooling would have ended at primary school, were it not for caring persons and multiple sponsors. Many families in the village live on as little as R2500/month and subsistence farming on small patches of land.
Our love story
The academic results of the 2 young ladies, enabled them to successfully apply for and win part scholarships at Inanda Seminary, a boarding high school for girls near Durban. With sponsorship raised by the Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon, Bedfordview, Johannesburg, and others, both girls have been successfully enrolled at Inanda Seminary and are currently completing their high school education with consistently good marks in all subjects.
Although the board and tuition expenses for Amahle and Siphosetu have been covered for their high school education, incidental medical expenses, uniforms, toiletries etc hae not been covered and need to be funded on a quarterly basis.
βThe Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon is extremely grateful to LWYW C.I.C who have stepped in to cover these costs of R15,000 for the 2022 academic year.β
