We were compelled to support Bethany Home after finding out more about the extraordinary mission. There is a desperate need for shelters such as Bethany Home because of the spiralling domestic violence in society. In the past year alone, Bethany have assisted approximately 50 abused women and their children offering them a safe haven and place of rehabilitation. They accommodate up to 50 women and children for approximately 12 - 18 months.

The key to Bethany's success is a holistic rehabilitation. Bethany not only provide a safe haven but also provide psychological and physical rehabilitation and support.

Bethany provides women and children:

-   accommodation and food;
-   a safe and loving environment;
-   counselling for the women and their children;
-   referrals for medical attention;
-   legal assistance from highly qualified volunteers;
-   assistance in obtaining documents;
-   occupational therapy;
-   career counselling;
-   training in various vocations and skill-sets
-   assistance in finding the Bethany women work;
-   Placing the Bethany kids into schools.

Bethany strives to empower each woman to become self-supporting and economically independent.
